Xanabu is a mystical, magical place in what feels like a far away land. Designed and built by world renowned American artist and bon vivant, Tony Duquette, it served as a refuge from the madness of Hollywood’s Golden Era.
Today, under the loving care of International Architect and pioneer of sustainability David Hertz and his wife Laura Doss-Hertz, together they strive to maintain the original ethos of Xanabu to protect and preserve the beauty and harmony of the perfect coupling of nature and art.
Xanabu is located in the western hills of Malibu, overlooking The Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains, Boney Ridge and Serrano Valley. The Adirondack style hunting lodge was built in the 1930’s, and the guest house and surrounding areas were designed and constructed by Tony Duquette.
